Lieutenant Jeremy Finney is a member of Tampa Fire Fighters IAFF Local 754, which supports Nation?s Bravest. Local 754?s own Tampa Fire Fighter Charity Fund spearheads the Camp Hopetáke (pronounced hope? e? tockee) Children?s Burn Camp. This free yearly camp offers a weeklong safe haven for children ages 5 through 17 who must cope with the social and emotional scars of living with burn injuries. Jeremy Finney is the current Director of Camp Hopetáke. Local 754, in connection with the Tampa General Burn Foundation, takes 40 children and 20 counselors to various theme parks, attractions, and beaches, providing supportive environments for these young survivors.
Mr. Tampa maintains solid roots in firefighting. His father was a firefighter, mother and step-father were paramedics, and his uncle by marriage was both a firefighter and paramedic. All served 30+ years of service. Jeremy?s other passion is children. In addition to facilitating Camp Hopetáke, he spends time with his own two children.
